Is 24 hours enough time to explore the Magic Kingdom or do you really need two days?

    Hi Lynda!

Great question!  Personally, I think I could live inside the Magic Kingdom and still not have enough time there, but I realize that isn't possible!

There are a lot of factors to consider with your question.
    1.  Park Hours:  The Magic Kingdom is very rarely open for 24 straight hours (this only happens during very limited special events), so you will want to check the park schedule for your date to see how long it's actually open.  Generally, it opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes late in the evening, but hours vary depending on time of year, special events, and Extra Magic Hours.

    2.  Travel party:  If you are by yourself or with a group of adults/older children, then you will be able to spend more time in the park to explore in one outing.  If you have younger children, this isn't always as easy, and you don't want to make them miserable by keeping them out way after their bedtime and/or missing much-needed naps.

    3.  Crowds:  If you are at the Magic Kingdom on a busy day, you will be able to explore less than when it's not as crowded.

So, the answer is "maybe"!  You can definitely get in most of the Magic Kingdom by spending an entire day at the park-- especially if you arrive at park open, stay until park closing, have advanced dining reservations, and utilize the FastPass+ system.

Now that my boys are older, we can easily fit in our "must-do's" at the Magic Kingdom in one day.  When they were smaller, we would generally divide it into two days.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
