Hours for Disneyworld Florida at Christmas time

    Hi Melissa,

    Welcome to planDisney!

It is that time of year - time to plan a trip during The Holidays at Walt Disney World® Resort! Unfortunately, we do not yet have published park hours for that time of year. Looking at your arrival date, I have to say I admire your courage! We have also braved Magic Kingdom on Christmas day in prior years. We entered the park at park opening and then left by early afternoon when the crowds were almost impossible. We had a great time for those few hours and enjoyed heading back to the resort hotel to relax for the remainder of the day.

If you celebrate Christmas, do consider how you might celebrate that morning. We exchanged small presents one year. Other years we have just exchanged cards in the resort hotel room. We have so many good memories from those trips. Even with the crowds, we were able to dine at our favorite restaurants and soak in all of the incredible holiday decorations.

There are a few must-do strategies if you intend to visit at this time of year. Do book your vacation package early, check the Special Offers, make advanced dining reservations, consider a few Enchanting Extras Collection activities. Given the time of year, I highly recommend Capture Your Moment: Magic Kingdom Park. We absolutely loved this experience, dressed in our holiday shirts, and used that photo for our holiday cards that year.

While we wait for those park hours to be released, continue to plan. Choose your resort hotel carefully. Given the crowds during this time of year, I would also suggest a resort hotel within walking distance to a theme park or with multiple transportation options. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one of our favorite resort hotels, for example, is within walking distance to Magic Kingdom.

Melissa, this time of year is absolutely magical. One final reminder - follow the Disney Parks Blog for news of the Candlelight Processional narrators for 2024. The storytelling is beautiful and the music amazing. I trust you will experience all of the joy of the season when you visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
