Hi Patrick! Welcome to planDisney.
I have been lucky enough to be part of a couple of VIP Tours at Walt Disney World Resort, and they were truly magical days. Our Cast Member Guides were so much fun to spend the day with and really took the time to learn about us, make suggestions, and teach us all kinds of fun tricks of the trade (my kids are now amazing at
Toy Story Mania! after riding with a tour guide). I'm delighted to hear you're considering making a reservation and creating your own one-of-a-kind Disney Day!
Pricing for Private VIP Tours depends on the season and the number of people in your party. Prices range from $425 to $850 per hour and do not include admission for your party; a tip is not required but is appreciated and customary. You will be able to call and make your reservation 60 days in advance - if you will be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you may call when you reach 60 days before your check-in date if your date is during the length of your stay. For all the details, as well as the number to call for pricing, availability, and reservations, please see the
Private VIP Tours webpage.
Patrick, if you do reserve a VIP Tour, my number one tip is to be open to the recommendations of your Guide. They will connect with you before your tour to discuss your itinerary and find out all about how you want to spend your day; from there, they will plan a fantastic roadmap for your day and make suggestions. On one of our tours, our Guide recommended watching the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade from the VIP viewing area on top of the Main Street, U.S.A. train station. Some of our family members were not into that idea because they wanted to maximize our time riding attractions, but we trusted our Guide, grabbed some Starbucks from Main Street Bakery, and settled in for the parade. Pluto pointing to our daughter - at her eye level - and making a heart with his hands is one of our priceless Walt Disney World memories and truly made her whole vacation.
I also recommend getting to know your Guide - many of them have had really interesting Disney careers, and if you're a Disnerd like I am, it's so much fun to hear all about their best experiences. On our most recent tour, our Guide was a former
Kilimanjaro Safaris driver, and he told us some hilarious animal stories and gave us a backstage peek at some of Disney's Animal Kingdom's animal habitats.
Thank you for stopping by with your question! Your friends here at planDisney are here to help if you have any questions as you count down the days to your
spring vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, so please come back and see us. In the meantime, be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news and planning tips - I love to add must-dos and must-eats to the list I keep on my phone (organized by location, of course). Happy planning, and have the best time!
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
