Hi there, Maria - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so glad that you found us and stopped by to ask a question. Here at planDisney we love to use our own experiences to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! It's an extra magical time to visit as the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration continues - you'll find amazing new attractions, exciting entertainment, great new food options, and so much more!
Here at planDisney, we love to plan, and planning often involves changes and revisions - it's all part of the process! Walt Disney World Resort has great policies that help Guests just like you modify or cancel aspects of your vacation, but these do differ based on the type of reservation we're talking about.
For vacation packages booked directly through Walt Disney World Resort, canceling at least 30 days prior to arrival will result in a full refund of all package components that are eligible for refunds. There are sometimes parts of a package that are non-refundable, including runDisney race registrations, or third-party travel arrangements. You can
call and speak to a Cast Member who can help you understand if any items in your specific vacation package might have a different cancelation policy. If your package is canceled two days to 29 days prior to your arrival, a cancelation fee may be assessed. You can find more detailed information by reviewing
the Terms & Conditions. For room-only reservations, you're in good shape as long as you cancel at least 5 days prior to your arrival date, but be sure to check out
the unique Terms and Conditions for these types of reservations to get more details.
Since you mentioned "reservation" generally, I also want to point out that various other experiences, including dining reservations, Individual Lightning Lane reservations, and other reservations including those from the
Enchanting Extras Collection have their own cancelation policies you'll want to check out. Also, experiences booked through a travel professional may have different policies - you'd want to check in directly with that person for details if you've used them for booking.
I think that covers everything, Maria. If you end up having any additional questions,
please check in with us again!Ryan J.
