Hi there, Nyeshia!
Welcome back to planDisney. I am glad you sent another question to us! Have you started packing for your cruise yet? If not, check out this handy
packing list from Disney Cruise Line. It has a few things that are easy to forget, such as a sweater for dinner. I always bring a couple of cardigans because I get a little chilly in the restaurants.
There are a few hotel options that could work best for you. For starters, you could spend the night at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel in Walt Disney World Resort. My family did this before our cruise last year, and it was a lovely way to begin our vacation! You can take advantage of the amenities at your hotel while enjoying a dose of Disney, even if you do not visit the theme parks. My favorite hotels at Walt Disney World include
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and
Disney's Pop Century Resort.
My family stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort before our last cruise, and we didn't want to leave! The resort feels like a tropical destination, and we couldn't get enough of the delicious food at Kona Cafe and 'Ohana. The Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at 'Ohana is a must-do! Oh, and I cannot forget to mention that all Disney Resorts Collection hotels have fun pools, like the
Lava Pool with a 143-foot-long water slide at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. During my family's vacation, we used
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to pick us up at our resort and take us to Port Canaveral for our cruise. I like using Disney Cruise Line transportation because our Port Arrival Time is automatically assigned to us. We can also check in for our cruise when we arrive at the port. The process is a breeze!
If you are looking for a different vibe, you can check out
Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. It is about 5 miles away from Port Canaveral and has a beautiful beachfront location! When my family debarked from our cruise, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel. It is actually located inside the Orlando International Airport! My kids played in the pool while waving to the planes as they landed. It was a fun way to end our fantastic vacation! Information about booking either of these hotels can be found on the
Disney Cruise Line Pre- or Post-Cruise Hotel Stays page.
Nyeshia, have a wonderful cruise! We hope to see you real soon!
Happy sailing!
Jen
