Hey there Isabel! Welcome to planDisney. The new Lightning Lane Pass system has some guests confuseled like heffalumps and woozels. I sure was at first. Let's take a look at the system and get you the answer you need.
Guests of
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and other select hotels such as Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and
Shades of Green Resort can take advantage of the 7-day in-advance
Lightning Lane Pass purchases for the entirety of their stay up to 14 days. Currently,
Good Neighbor Hotels do not qualify for this benefit, and guests wanting to make Lightning Lane Pass purchases will be eligible three days in advance on a rolling basis day-by-day.
Aside from the advance Lightning Lane Pass purchase, there are other outstanding benefits to include when making a hotel decision. The big ones for me are those where we do not need to rely on transportation and allow extra time in the theme parks. When staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel you have access to
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours (a privilege with select Resort hotels). You also receive complimentary
Resort Transportation and
complimentary hotel and theme park parking. We prefer to stay on the
Disney Skyliner because we spend a lot of time at Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. Also, you are eligible for a
Dining Plan when staying at a Disney property.
October will be here before you know it which means the final month of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I love this spelltastic party, especially Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular; the pyrotechnics are sorcery in the sky.
Isabel, I hope this helps you make a decision about where to stay and when you will be able to book Lightning Lane Passes. Please feel free to reach out to
planDisney for more Disney vacation planning tips and tricks.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
