Hello, Caitlyn!
Welcome back to planDisney. There are so many details to figure out when embarking on the Disney Cruise Line, and I am happy to help you navigate those "decision" waters!
I stayed at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel in
Walt Disney World Resort before my family went on a Disney Cruise last year. It was the perfect way to kickstart our vacation! Staying at Walt Disney World is a fantastic experience even if you do not visit the theme parks. The amenities are top-notch and the food is delicious! My favorite hotels at Walt Disney World include
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, and
Disney's Pop Century Resort.
We stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort before our last cruise, and I loved the South Pacific vibe, as well as the tasty food at
Kona Cafe and
'Ohana. Speaking of 'Ohana, Lilo & Stich host a fantastic Best Friends Breakfast that cannot be missed! After enjoying our visit to Walt Disney World, my family used
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to arrive at Port Canaveral for our cruise. I like using Disney Cruise transportation because our Port Arrival Time is automatically assigned to us. We can also check in for our cruise when we arrive at the port. Easy peasy!
Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront is another option if you want to stay closer to Port Canaveral. It is a little over 5 miles away from Port Canaveral and has a perfect beachfront location! When my family debarked from our cruise, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel. It is actually located inside the Orlando International Airport! My kids loved watching the planes take off and land from the pool deck! Information about booking either of those hotels (as well as any promotional offers for Disney Cruise Line Guests) can be found on the
Disney Cruise Line website.
Caitlyn, wherever you stay before your Disney Cruise, I hope it adds a little dash of pixie dust to your fun vacation! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!
Happy sailing!
Jen
