    Are the hotels and Parks open from December 26 thru January 1??

    Hi Melinda, 

    Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  You will be happy to know that Walt Disney World Resort is open 365 days a year, in fact, the week between Christmas and New Year’s is one of my favourite times to visit!

    Guests are able to book a Walt Disney World Resort stay for any day of the year, as the Resort Hotels and Theme Parks are open every day, year round.  Visiting during the Holiday Season is truly magical, the decorations and activities throughout the Theme Parks are so festive and fun!  I would warn that although it is beautiful, the week of December 26th to January 1st is typically very busy.  My family and I love the hustle and bustle of the guests during this time of year, and we do visit over the holidays every year, but the crowds are not for everyone.  If you do visit during this week, be prepared for longer wait times and lots of people.  With the larger crowds, there is also a positive side, the Theme Parks are open for extended hours and have additional Extra Magic Hours, allowing guests to spend even more time in the Theme Parks!
