Ahoy Emily! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Ah, a Disney Cruise Line vacation out of
Miami in October, now that's a planDrew-approved itinerary if I've ever heard one. Adding a
pre- or post-cruise stay in any departure port is a great way to not only extend your vacation but to ensure any unforeseen travel issues don't impact your sailing!
I sailed on over to chat with a crew member and verified that the two current hotels that Disney Cruise Line partners with in Miami are the EB Hotel Miami and the Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami. One is closer to the airport, and one is closer to Port Miami, so you have your pick of when you and your crew would like the longer leg of your journey! If you decide to stay at either of those two hotels, you can set up transfers from the airport to the hotel, as well as from the hotel to Port Miami - and back!
When it comes to port transfers, I'm always "Team Mickey" and can't remember a time when my family and I did NOT set up
Ground Transportation through Disney Cruise Line! The small extra fee is always worth knowing we're in Disney Cruise Line's gloved hands the minute we arrive, haha! To book a hotel stay and ground transfers, you'll need to contact Disney Cruise Line by phone, so it's time to hoist the mainsail and weigh anchor - you're only a few weeks out!
I hope that helps you set a course for your sailing, Emily! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as you make your final checklists, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Happy Sailing!
Andrew
