Hello there, Sarai, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I can’t think of a better place to
celebrate a birthday than at the
Happiest Place on Earth! So, back in early 2020, I had the chance to tour a room at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel that received the royal treatment from the
Disney Floral & Gifts team. This service was called an
in-room celebration, and it included fun celebratory banners, flowers, balloons, and gifts. Unfortunately, this service isn’t currently being offered at the Disneyland Resort, but I’m crossing my fingers it will return soon.
In the meantime, I have several other suggestions for some fun ways to celebrate the big day! First, ask for a
complimentary birthday button at your hotel’s Front Desk, or once you arrive in the theme parks. You can find celebratory buttons at City Hall in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park. This is a fun way to get extra attention from Characters and Cast Members who notice this special button.
For an extra-sweet celebration, I also recommend adding a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to a dining reservation at one of
these participating Disneyland Resort restaurants. You’ll be able to add a cake to your reservation when booking online at least three days before the reservation. You can also order a cake in-person at the restaurant’s host podium, or at the Concierge Desk at your hotel. However, if you need to request the cake on your arrival day, you’ll need to do so in person upon arrival at the restaurant. Luckily, the participating restaurants have a limited quantity of celebration cakes available for day-of orders.
Last but not least, you may want to check out the “Ear for Each Other” group on Facebook – I’ve found some wonderful small businesses offering unique balloon and flower deliveries to
Disneyland Resort Hotels through this group!
Best wishes for an unforgettable birthday celebration, Sarai!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
