Hi Alexis,
Welcome back to planDisney! I’m happy to see you’re planning another visit and I’m excited for the opportunity to help you plan something magical! There are
over 25 Disney Resorts at Walt Disney World, and visiting all of them would be quite the adventure!
A few resorts offer guided tours, like the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure at Fort Wilderness. This is a guided segway tour that would take you through the grounds of Fort Wilderness Resort. There is a fee for this
Enchanting Extra and advance reservations are recommended. Nearby at
Wilderness Lodge Resort, the Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour takes place daily at 9:00. This free tour meets near the Resort Lobby fireplace and can take around an hour. At
Animal Kingdom Lodge, you may find the Jambo House Lobby Art Tour on weekdays at 11:00 am. This tour is also free and you’ll learn about the African art displayed in the resort. These activity offerings are subject to change, so unfortunately you won’t know if they are available until you arrive.
Over in
Disneyland Resort, there is a Disneyland Hotel Tour where you’ll learn about the hotel’s history. At Disney’s Grand Californian Resort, there is the Art of the Craft Tour, to learn about the architecture and design of the resort.
Reservations for these tours are required, and it is suggested that you visit the Front Desk about availability.
You may be interested in a
Private VIP Tour at Walt Disney World. While I don’t know anyone who has used this tour to visit the Disney Resorts, you could ask if that is a possibility when you call to book. I have taken several VIP Tours at Walt Disney World and the Tour Guides have shared fun and interesting facts about the theme parks and attractions, it sounds like the kind of experience you are looking for. This tour can be booked for up to 10 guests for a minimum of 7 hours. There is also a
Disneyland Resort Private VIP Tour available.
I gave you a lot to think about, Alexis! I love learning about the resorts and theme parks. It’s so much fun to learn new details that I can stop and admire each time I’m in Walt Disney World. If you have any more questions as you continue to plan for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, please come back and see us at
