The hotels around Disneyland are not big vehicle friendly. I’m going to Disneyland on my way to moving to Texas. Is there anywhere I can park my U-Haul while I enjoy the park for the day and stay at one of the good neighbor hotels?

Hi Ethan, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on your big move, and good thinking about making a magical pitstop at the Happiest Place on Earth. I understand you will have a tractor-trailer with you, and are looking for somewhere to park it while you have fun at the Disneyland Resort. Let's go over some options.

Ethan, the Toy Story Parking Area offers parking for recreational and oversized vehicles, but not overnight. One option, then, is to park there, enjoy a full day at the Resort, and return to your vehicle near the end of the day to drive to a hotel in the greater area. Or, leave it at the hotel and take a bus or rideshare to the Resort. You can search online for local hotels that offer oversized parking.

I recommend contacting some Good Neighbor Hotels directly to ask about their ability to accommodate oversized vehicles. You might want to try some of the ones that are a little further out, as there's a chance that they may have more space.

Another option would be to consider staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, as oversized vehicle parking is available to hotel Guests for an added cost. The hotels each have distinct themes, with easy access to the parks, comfortable amenities, enjoyable pool areas, and more. This would be a fun idea for a fully immersive visit to the Disneyland Resort.

Once your vehicle is all settled and you are checked into your hotel, you'll be able to enjoy some Halloween Time fun at the parks. Between the seasonal overlays of popular attractions, specialty food and drink options, exclusive merchandise, and festive decorations, you'll have plenty to explore. Make sure to stop by Disney Wonderful World of Sweets in the Downtown Disney District to pick up some packaged snacks and treats to bring along for your drive.

Ethan, if you'd like to speak with a Cast Member more about these options, you can call Guest Services. Hopefully, there will be something that works for you.

Good luck on your move, Ethan, and have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort! If you think of any other questions, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
