Is there a hotel that you'd recommend for a family with 5 adults and 2 children, ages 3 and 7? I'm planning for May 2023, any other tips would be greatly appreciated as I'm a first time Disney World visiter ;-)

Hello, hello there, Les! Welcome to the second Most Magical Place on Earth, planDisney. I'm so happy that you're here, and I'm delighted that I get to help you plan your very first vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. What an honor!

It looks like you'll be visiting us with your entire family, and that truly fills my heart with so much joy! There is nothing better than experiencing the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time in the company of those you love the most, so I'll be sure to give you my very best tips in order for you to maximize your time and your enjoyment during your magical vacation next year.

I'm ecstatic to let you know that there are quite a few Disney Resorts Collection hotels that can accommodate larger parties, so my recommendations for you will be based on exactly that. First of all, we've got Disney's Riviera Resort, which draws inspiration from the gorgeous European architecture of the Mediterranean coasts. It has delicious dining venues to choose from, as well as three different transportation options to and from the Theme Parks: the Disney Skyliner, the Friendship Boats, and regular busses. This is a great Resort for families, since it's very close to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios! What's even better is that their villas sleep up to 12 Guests.

Next, we have Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, which is a gorgeous African-themed Resort where, if you're lucky enough, you'll be able to have your morning coffee on your balcony while overlooking the savannas. Who knows? You might even spot a friend or two from the comfort of your own room! This Resort is super close to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, it has scrumptious dining options to choose from, and the villas are able to sleep up to 12 Guests as well.

For my final recommendation––and last but definitely not least––we have the crown jewel: The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Located at the heart of the Seven Seas Lagoon, you will be lodging right next to Magic Kingdom Park, as well as Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort. This will grant you access to a great number of amazing dining options that are just a short Monorail ride away! Besides all this, the Grand Floridian is absolutely breathtaking, and you'll be able to reach both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT through the Monorail as well. The villas at this Resort are able to sleep up to 12 Guests!

I hope that my recommendations have helped you narrow down your choices, Les. I highly encourage you to keep researching as much as you can about the Walt Disney World Resort before booking your vacation. You can never be too prepared! Also, please remember to keep checking back on the Disney Parks Blog for updates on when you'll be able to start booking for 2023. It shouldn't be long now, so keep your eyes peeled! In the meantime, please don't hesitate to come back and ask us any and all questions you might have about planning your magical (and FIRST!) Disney vacation.

    Have a practically perfect day,
