If we have a hotel and ticket package, can those tickets be upgraded to APs at Disney World? How do you figure the price of an upgrade?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, William!

Planning a visit to Walt Disney World can be so much fun, but planning additional trips is even better! For that, an Annual Pass to Walt Disney World will surely come in handy.

Guests who wish to enjoy additional days of magic can upgrade or extend their Walt Disney World theme park tickets as long as there is at least one day remaining on that ticket. Once at Walt Disney World, simply head to a ticket booth at any park and ask the Cast Member assisting you to upgrade your theme park tickets to Annual Passes before you activate the last day on those tickets. You can calculate the cost of the Annual Pass by taking the current price of an AP and subtracting the price you paid for your theme park ticket. To upgrade, you'll just pay the difference between the two.

Although you'll get 365 days of fun with that Annual Pass, the perks of an AP make it so much more magical! We love that our Annual Passes include Disney PhotoPass Service downloads, discounts on dining and merchandise, as well as standard theme park parking. On our last visit, we utilized every one of those perks every day of our stay, making it feel as if we were VIPs. You'll love it!

Enjoy planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, William. Keep those questions coming, too. We love to help!
