Ahoy, Nicole!
It's always great to see a fellow Marylander here at planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by as you get ready for your magical Disney Cruise Line vacation this summer!
Nicole, Disney offers options to book
pre- and post-cruise hotel stays in several different departure ports. A big benefit of staying at these hotels is that Disney offers
ground transportation (at an additional cost) to the port, so you can just sit back and relax on embarkation morning instead of worrying about arranging your own transportation.
When sailing out of
Port Canaveral, you can turn your cruise vacation into a land and sea adventure by adding a stay at a
hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection. If you decide to stay at Walt Disney World Resort before your cruise, you can make your hotel reservations directly through Walt Disney World and then
contact Disney Cruise Line to purchase ground transportation between your resort and the cruise terminal. I'm happy to share a few of my favorite options in case you decide to add an extra pinch of pixie dust to your pre-cruise stay by booking at a Disney hotel!
- Disney's All-Star Sports Resort offers budget-friendly accommodations that are big on theming and fun! You'll find two pools, an arcade, a food court, and a variety of recreational activities to enjoy during your stay here!
- Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside features a laid-back ambiance and peaceful views. One of my favorite features of this resort is that you are just a short boat ride away from Disney Springs, which is home to numerous restaurants, shops, and entertainment offerings.
- Disney's Beach Club Resort is perfect if you'd like to visit EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios during your stay, as you can walk to both of these parks. Not interested in visiting the theme parks? Beach Club is conveniently located along Disney's BoardWalk and is home to one of the best pools on property - Stormalong Bay!
Additionally, when cruising out of Port Canaveral, you can also currently choose between the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport or the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. Reservations for pre- or post-cruise stays at these hotels can be made by contacting Disney Cruise Line. Cast Members can also assist with arranging ground transportation between the hotel and the cruise terminal from these hotels when you call to make your reservation!
Nicole, I hope this information has been helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful vacation this summer. If you have any other planning questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
SEA ya real soon!
