I have a hotel reservation for the Swan Reserve in April, but after several days of trying I can’t link the hotel in MDE. Do I have to wait until a certain number of days before the trip in order to do this?

    Hi Hillary!

From one Marylander to another, I’m happy to extend a warm "welcome back" to planDisney!  Linking your hotel reservation at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is a smart move, as staying at that hotel comes with many great benefits, such as Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, and the earliest booking window for Lightning Lane passes

Hillary, I was linking an off-site hotel reservation to my own My Disney Experience account earlier this year, and it took about ten days after making the reservation before the confirmation number could be linked to my account.  If you’re still having trouble after two weeks, I would suggest chatting with a Cast Member via the Online Chat feature available on the website or calling for assistance

While I haven’t stayed at the Swan Reserve before, I have just returned from a stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, which is also located along Disney’s BoardWalk.  This is a great location with easy access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios by a walking path or FriendShip boats.  You can find miniature golf right next to the Swan and Dolphin at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf.  I had a great time playing this course. . .even if my husband did orchestrate a comeback victory on the final few holes!

There’s also some great dining in this area.  Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is one of my favorite hidden gems.  The New England Seafood Pot Pie is delicious!  You’ll also find a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe with Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast.  I just ate here again last week and found the character interactions and food to both be as wonderful as I remembered!  And, of course, what would a visit to the BoardWalk area be without a stop by Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for a sweet treat?  If you're up for the challenge, the Kitchen Sink Sundae is a fun choice to share with family or friends.  I think my oldest still has dreams about the mountains of ice cream included in that sundae!

Hillary, I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
