I have a hotel reservation linked to my disney app and my relatives also have a reservation. I normally manage the plans for everyone. I have previous magic bands linked for everyone. Can I link their reservation and setup a log in for them to use the app?

    Hiya Stephen, welcome to planDisney!

Cinderella Castle is all dressed up and ready to pose for pictures with your family during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

The short answer to your question is, "yes." You should have no problem creating a separate My Disney Experience account for anyone in your family that wants one. Start by creating a new account for an individual in your family. This account must be linked to a different email address than the one connected to your account. For future steps, take note of the email address used. To avoid duplicate My Disney Experience accounts, which cause planning headaches and can be hard to fix, here are your important next steps to merge the newly created account with the account profile currently managed by you:

    1. In your My Disney Experience account, access your Family and Friends list
    2. Find the name of the person that created a new account, which should have "Plans managed by me" next to it, and click "Update."
    3. Next click "Share Planning With <<person's name>>"
    4. Enter the email address used to create that person's new account and click "Continue."

That person will then receive an email invitation to connect. Once the invitation is accepted, all of the plans you've made for them will automagically merge with their new account. This includes previously linked MagicBands. Since you'll remain connected as Family and Friends, you can still co-manage their plans and link new reservations for them via the My Plans page.

At this time, My Disney Experience profiles cannot be transferred to another person to manage by Guests. This means that individuals in your family that do not choose to create My Disney Experience accounts will continue to have their plans managed by you. As long as everyone is connected as Family and Friends, this is really not a big deal. The bigger deal is getting an additional member of your party hooked up with a My Disney Experience account so they, too, can access the magic of the My Disney Experience mobile app during your vacation: Mobile Food and Beverage ordering, Lightning Lane bookings, interactive maps, and more!

I'm so excited for your family to experience The World's Most Magical Celebration together. Together is my family's favorite place to be, and Walt Disney World Resort was designed to bring families like ours together. We are the magic!

    Plan magic; planDisney.
