Hi Vanessa, welcome to planDisney!
You've selected a boo-tiful time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort. A mid-August visit lets you experience the kickstart of fall festivities throughout the parks and resorts. Keep an eye out for Mickey-shaped pumpkin heads and pumpkin-spiced treats. The biggest fall celebration of all is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This special event promises a spooktacular evening of trick-or-treating, experiencing your favorite Magic Kingdom attractions with minimal wait times, and enjoying party-exclusive entertainment like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. Time to start planning your costume!
Tickets for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party went on sale this week for Guests of select
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. I'm sorry the Sanderson sisters put a spell on your ability to purchase tickets. I purchased my party tickets this week and will walk you through the steps of executing an effective counter-curse. Start by making sure your hotel reservation is
linked to your
My Disney Experience account. You'll need to enter the confirmation number as well as the last name on the reservation. Once your reservation appears under your Daily Itinerary on the
My Plans page of My Disney Experience, you're ready to purchase your special event tickets.
At this time, the ability to purchase Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets online is limited to Guests in the United States. Valued Guests visiting from European countries can call a helpful Cast Member at 00 800 2006 0809 for information. You'll also be able to purchase these special event tickets upon arrival at any ticket window located outside the theme parks, though availability is not guaranteed. A third option is to purchase your tickets
online as soon as you land in the United States. I understand these are likely not the options you hoped for, Vanessa. I spent several hours on hold last year securing my Disney After Hours Boo Bash tickets and viewed the extended wait as a necessary evil for unlocking the magic of this popular seasonal event.
As a special event, no additional
theme park reservation is required to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party. The party starts at 7:00 p.m. but you can enter Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 p.m. I recommend using the time before the party starts to experience attractions that will not be open during the party such as Country Bear Jamboree and Mickey's PhilharMagic.
Your pals here at planDisney are happy to serve as your ghost hosts for all of your trip-planning questions.
Hurry back!
