Hi again, Carrie!
Welcome back! We are thrilled to hear of your upcoming vacation plans to sail the seven seas with Captain Minnie. Have you seen all the updated information about the
Disney Wish? Oh boy, all the details have me really excited about the newest ship to grace the Disney fleet.
It’s always a wise idea to come in a day early for your Disney cruise just to ensure there are no travel delays. As far as choosing a specific hotel, many of the popular hotel chains are located in the area (in case you are a member of a reward/loyalty program). I also rely heavily on internet searches for details about the hotels, their locations, and those ever-important guest reviews when deciding where to stay. There are so many to choose from in the area, so you might want to consider one that offers a hotel shuttle to Port Canaveral so you don’t have to arrange private transportation.
Disney Cruise Line also includes some pre- and post-cruise suggestions for every port. As far as
Port Canaveral hotels, the Disney Cruise Line website recommends the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, which is located approximately 5 miles from the port.
Keep in mind that for now, Disney Cruise Line is strictly enforcing the port arrival time for Guests and not wanting them to arrive any earlier than their allocated time. I’m not certain if this will be the protocol when you set sail on the Disney Wish in June, so keep checking the
Disney Cruise Line Experience Updates page as your sail date gets closer.
After answering this question, I’m anticipating my upcoming voyage on the Disney Wish even more, so thank you for that! Please come back by planDisney anytime. I hope you and your family have a Happily Ever After sailing!
Sherry
