which hotel would you recommend for kids ages 3-6

Hello, David! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your great question! With so much to see and do at Walt Disney World Resort, there’s truly something magical around every corner for you and your little ones to enjoy. From Cinderella’s Castle and character-filled parades to fun-filled attractions, your kids are in for a vacation they’ll never forget! Plus, when you stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll get benefits that make your visit extra convenient and special. With perks like Early Theme Park Entry, complimentary transportation, and enchanting themed pools, a Disney Resort stay keeps you right in the heart of the magic, making it easier to enjoy every minute of your Disney vacation.

Disney Resorts offer a variety of categories to fit every family’s style and budget: Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villas. Each offers experiences little ones will love, including outdoor movie nights, poolside games and trivia, t-shirt tie-dyeing, and more! You’ll find the most vibrant and playful theming in Value Resorts, perfect for young kids who want to feel immersed in Disney magic. The theming becomes more subtle as you move up the categories, but each resort retains that special Disney charm and character.

Here are some hotels I recommend: In the Value category, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has spacious Family Suites and larger-than-life themes based on The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Little Mermaid. My personal favorite is the Lion King-themed suite; it takes me back to my younger days! Plus, the Disney Skyliner makes traveling to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze.

For a Moderate option, I’d recommend Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. With its tropical island vibe, lively pool area, and Banana Cabana for a relaxing snack break, it’s the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. The Disney Skyliner access here also means easy transportation to the parks, a win with little ones!

Choosing a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort is challenging because they’re all incredible. You can’t go wrong with Disney’s Beach Club Resort or Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. These neighboring resorts have an amazing pool complex, Stormalong Bay, complete with a sand-bottom pool and a lazy river. And don’t miss the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop—it’s my favorite dessert spot in all of Disney World! Plus, with the walking paths to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, you can easily pop back for a nap or some downtime, recharging for evening fireworks. Another great option is one of the Monorail resorts for quick Magic Kingdom access. For your family, I might lean toward Disney’s Contemporary Resort with a Theme Park View room, where you can watch the nightly fireworks right from your balcony. The kids will love Chef Mickey’s character breakfast and seeing the Monorail glide through the resort!

I hope this helps answer your question, David! After you’ve done a little more research and narrowed down your choices, I’d be happy to “dig a little deeper” and help you find the perfect fit for your little Mouseketeers!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
