Hello Adele! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Some of my favorite trips to the Walt Disney World Resort have been with multi-generational groups! I have a family of five and we have stayed at a few resorts which offer accommodations for this group size. My first recommendation is
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. The seaside-themed resort has rooms offering you two queen beds and a daybed. It also provides a separate bathroom. My younger child, my teenagers, and my wife and I have all enjoyed the sand-bottomed resort pool better known as Stormalong Bay. This is one of our favorite resorts to stroll around and relax.
I also recommend
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This place is just beautiful! The Victorian resort has a stunning main building and multiple outer-buildings which feel just like home. Like Disney's Yacht Club, the rooms at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offer rooms with two queen beds and a daybed. This resort is connected to
Magic Kingdom Park via the
Monorail which makes for easy transportation to this popular park. I also feel that this resort is home to some of the best dining experiences in all of the Walt Disney World Resort. For quick-service, my favorite is
Gasparilla Island Grill. It is open 24-hours and offers excellent meal selections. A family favorite is the
Grand Floridian Cafe which is a table-service restaurant. My parents also love this resort!
If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option for your group of five then I recommend
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! This colorfully-themed resort will put your family in the Disney spirit! This resort offers family suites on a family-friendly budget. This resort is also connected to the new
Disney Skyliner which will take you on a fun ride to either
Disney's Hollywood Studios or
Epcot!
Adele, I hope this gives you a good start with your planning for a resort to accommodate your group of five! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue planning your vacation!
