Are hotel rates locked in if I make a down payment

Well hello there, Tracey! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping Guests answer their planning questions.

I am excited to hear you are in the beginning stages of planning a visit to Disneyland Resort. As someone who is considered a local who visits often, it is always such a treat when I find an excuse to stay overnight and it's even more of a treat when I'm able to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. My family has made some wonderful memories not just in the parks, but at the resort hotels as well. If you are looking to stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel and your stay is far enough in advance you can put a deposit of half of the hotel at check-out and pay the remainder at check-in. If you are purchasing a package of tickets and hotel, you can put down a $200 deposit and the remainder would be due 30 days before your check-in date. This would lock in your rate with a reservation.

One of my favorite traditions when staying on property at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels is to enjoy a character meal on my arrival or departure day when we don't have plans to go into the parks. I love breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, you have to try the peanut butter and jelly pizza!

Tracey, I really hope you are able to get settled on a date and start planning your stay at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
