Which hotel at Disneyland is closest to the park? Are there package deals for park tickets + hotel room + breakfast?

Hi there, Vivian. Welcome to planDisney.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your great questions for us. I see you’re planning a trip during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. If you’re wishing to stay where the magic happens, look no further than one of the 3 onsite Disneyland Resort hotels. The hotel that is closest to the theme parks is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, as it has a special entrance for hotel guests with valid theme park admission into Disney California Adventure Park. This hotel also has direct access to Downtown Disney District and is a quick stroll to Disneyland Park’s front entrance.

Pixar Place Hotel is located across the street from Disney California Adventure Park and Guests are able to use a special entrance into the park (with valid theme park admission; available through January 4, 2026). As a Guests staying at Pixar Place Hotel, you’ll be immersed in the artworks of Pixar Animation Studios.

Disneyland Hotel is another great option if you’re looking for close proximity to the parks. While it doesn’t have direct access to Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, it is a quick walk from Downtown Disney District’s monorail station, where Guests with valid theme park admission can skip the Main Entrance and board a monorail to Tomorrowland inside Disneyland Park.

When you’ve narrowed your hotel choices and travel dates, you can conveniently book a vacation package on the Disneyland Resort website. You can select one of the onsite hotels, or a Good Neighbor hotel, and then select your theme park tickets. You’ll also have the option to add on Park Hopper and Lightning Lane Multi Pass as well. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included in the vacation package. However, there are many locations that serve breakfast at the hotels and Downtown Disney District. One of my family’s favorite breakfast spots is Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill; my kids love the ube-stuffed French toast and the loco moco burrito. If you’re interested in Character Dining for breakfast, Goofy’s Kitchen, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, and Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet are really fun experiences. Because they’re very popular, advance dining reservation is highly encouraged.

I hope this information is helpful for you as you continue to plan your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again if you have more questions for us.

    Sending you pixie dust,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
