What hotel is the closest/easiest access to the park? Do I want a hotel that has monorail access? Thanks!

    Hi, Emma!

Thanks for visiting me again with your great question. I think the most important factor to consider when selecting a resort hotel, especially if you’re traveling to Walt Disney World with small children, is which will be the most conveniently-located to the park you’ll spend the most time in. I know how it is to explore the theme parks all day with kids in tow and then make the journey back to the hotel at the end of the night with a stroller, plus all the other essentials that come along with caring for little ones on-the-go. You’ll want to make that trip as quick and easy as possible! It also helps to be near your hotel if you’ll be making jaunts back to the room during the day for naps or pool time.

I have a 4-year-old, so quite a bit of our time is spent at Magic Kingdom Park. In my opinion, one of the three Walt Disney World Resort Hotels on the monorail line—Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa—would be the most ideal for easy access to Magic Kingdom Park. Just step outside the resort, and with a quick ride on the monorail (a fun attraction in and of itself!), your family has access to The Most Magical Place on Earth. You can also walk to Magic Kingdom Park directly from Disney’s Contemporary Resort in about 10 minutes, which is another huge benefit.

I hope this helps you plan, Emma Please feel free to ask me more questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
