The current cancellation policy for a room-only reservation at the Walt Disney World Resort states that Guests will receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 5 days in advance of your arrival. For ease of planning, when you book your room-only reservation online, the booking system will alert you of the exact date that you can modify or cancel your reservation without penalty. For room-only reservations that are canceled between 0-4 days before arrival, Guests will lose the cost of a one-night stay at the resort (which is the deposit made when booking the reservation.) Please note that policies are subject to change at any time.
Tammy, keep in mind the information above applies only to room-only bookings; if your resort reservation is made as part of a
Disney vacation package, the current cancellation policy is different. In this case, there is no penalty for cancellations made at least 30 days ahead of your check-in date. For cancellations made between 2 and 29 days, Guests will incur a $200 fee, and cancellations made less than 2 days in advance will forfeit the entire cost of the package.
If you do find yourself needing to
cancel your reservation, you can do so online through your My Disney Experience account or by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for assistance over the phone. Of course, I hope that doesn't happen and that you get to experience the magic of Wilderness Lodge and the Walt Disney World Resort!
