Hi there, Victor!
I love it when a fellow Floridian stops by to visit us here at planDisney. Even as a local, staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is something that I try to do at least once a year. Being able to take advantage of the
Early Theme Park Entry, use the complimentary transportation, and get other parks makes it even more magical.
Sometimes plans do change and you may need to cancel a hotel reservation. First things first, you’ll find this
Walt Disney World website’s Frequently Asked Questions response helpful in explaining the steps in which you can cancel your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation.
Now, let’s get into the policies. At the moment, room-only reservations can be canceled up to 5 days before your arrival date without penalty. (In 2025, this will increase slightly to 8 days prior to arrival.) You will lose your deposit of a one-night stay if you cancel any sooner than that period.
If you’ve booked a full-on Walt Disney World Resort
Vacation Package, which includes your hotel stay and theme park tickets, you have up to 30 days before your arrival to get a complete refund after cancellation. Your $200 deposit is not returned if you cancel between 2 and 29 days beforehand. But that’s a lot better than losing your entire package’s cost if you cancel the day of or the day before your initial arrival date.
I hope that this helps, Victor. Have additional questions about your Disney vacation planning? Just
give us a holler here at planDisney. Any of the panelists will be more than happy to share their tips and tricks.
Magic always,
LeAndra
