Hello there, Cheryl!
Welcome back to planDisney, I hope you had a wonderful visit to Fort Wilderness recently!
You are correct that heating pads are one of the
prohibited items on Disney Cruise Line ships for safety reasons. However, refillable water bottles are welcome...and I don't think a hot water bag would be treated any differently. You'll want to be sure to pack it empty and keep it in your carry-on bag. Once you get settled onboard you'll be able to request hot water through
room service. I would recommend going with your refillable hot water bottle over the sticky patches, personally, since the patches may not be practical with other cruise activities. But if you're curious about the patches or other options I'd recommend reaching out to the
Special Services Team.It looks like you'll be sailing on the
Disney Wish, how fun! You might consider visiting
Senses Spa and Salon during their open house on embarkation day, they have some wonderful saunas that might be very therapeutic for you. Ask about purchasing a Rainforest room pass, I think the heated loungers might be the perfect way to help you feel more comfortable.
I hope these ideas keep you relaxed and happy on your cruise, Cheryl! Wishing you smooth sailing and sunny skies.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
