Nicole from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We got hopper passes for May 14th and 15th. I have 2 questions. First can you only hop once during the day? Or can you go back to 1st park? Second, can you leave the park and have dinner in downtown disney, and then return to the parks?

Hello, Nicole and let me offer you a hearty welcome to planDisney!

Nicole, your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is only days away! How exciting! UNlike the White Rabbit, we don’t want you to be saying, “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date,” so let’s not waste any time in discussing the Disneyland Resort.

First, Nicole, I’m pleased to report that even after you park hop, you are welcome to return to the first park you visited that day as your theme park reservation is good for the entire day. While there is no limit on park hopping, please keep in mind that park hopping availability depends on park capacity.

Nicole, you are also welcome to leave Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure and enjoy dinner or shopping at the Downtown Disney District if capacity allows. After dinner, you are guaranteed entry at the first park of the day (where you hold a theme park reservation) or with your Park Hopper ticket you could visit the other park if capacity allows.

Nicole, I hope this helps as you’re planning out your Disney days. If you have any other questions please come on back to planDisney. Best wishes for a WONDERful trip that Alice would find absolutely delightful.
