I am hoping to take my 8yr old grandson to Disney this summer. It will just be the two of us for 4 nights and 5 days, 2 ?s- purchase dining plan or not and whether or not to add park hopper or just do 1 park each day we are there? Thank you :)

    Hi Stephenia,

Your grandson is a very lucky boy to have a grandmother who takes him to Walt Disney World.  I hope you have wonderful one-on-one time with him this coming summer.

I am a big advocate of the Disney Dining Plan, especially when you are traveling with a child under the age of ten.  There is no more cost-effective way to feed a child at Walt Disney World.  If you do select a dining plan which includes table service meals, be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days in advance of your arrival to book those meals.  Disney's most popular restaurants book up fast!  If you need restaurant suggestions, don't hesitate to shoot me another message.  I'd be happy to help.

As for the park-hopper option, it is nice to have but not necessary especially if this is your first trip to Walt Disney World.  There's so much to do in each park that you can easily fill a day with activities in each of the parks.

Let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you as your plan your magical getaway to Walt Disney World.
