Hiya, Moira, and a big welcome back to planDisney!
I'm delighted to assist you again as we
dig in to one of my very favorite topics:
Disney dining! In my opinion, it's one of the most underrated aspects of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Whether you're eating around the world at one of the many authentic international restaurants housed in EPCOT's World Showcase, laughing at cringeworthy puns as you dine on adventurous fare in Magic Kingdom Park's
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, or immersing yourself in the glamour of Hollywood's Golden Era at
The Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney's Hollywood Studios, you're sure to discover that the magic of Walt Disney World isn't limited to its attractions and character experiences.
Like you, my husband and I are always hoping to try as many different dishes as possible while on vacation, so we regularly share entrees in order to enjoy an extra snack, appetizer, dessert, or cocktail. While each Walt Disney World restaurant has its own individual dining policies specific to each location, my husband and I have never encountered an issue sharing an entree at (non-buffet or family-style) table service restaurants. However, the option to do so is subject to Cast Member discretion, so I would suggest inquiring with your server before you order your meal.
As a bonus tip: If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, be sure not to overlook the incredible dining offered at your magical home away from home. Some of my most memorable meals have been enjoyed at just steps away from my Resort hotel room. A few of my favorites include
Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Boatwright's Dining Hall at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, and
Sebastian's Bistro at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
I hope this was helpful, Moira, and that you'll reach back out to us at planDisney when additional questions arise about your next magical vacation.
I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
