We are hoping to visit DW during thie last month of September. I know generally the summer crowds have died down but my visit is during the Food and Wine festival. Is it very crowded then? If so I would reconsider my timing.

    Christine:

Although the last weekend of September is the opening of the Food & Wine Festival--and tends to generate a lot of activity at Epcot--the park is large and handles the crowd well, in my opinion.  In fact, the crowds are still more moderate than what you'd find in spring and summer.

On opening weekend, many guests seem to be from the local area coming for the ticketed events, so the attractions at Epcot aren't necessarily crowded.  We've been the last week of September and found that there's not an uncomfortable impact on the other parks as well.  Again, the crowds are still better than Spring and Summer.

The only reason I'd postpone your trip is to move it to weather that is cooler in early November.  Just keep in mind that September is Value Season and a move to October might increase your price for a room.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation--no matter when you decide to take it!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
