I am hoping to visit Disney World in Dec 2018, in planning our trip I was hoping to find out when the EMH for each park would be. I noticed that in April and May the MK had early hours in May and Epcot was Thursday, does this hold true all year long?

    Hi Leigh,

The schedule for Extra Magic Hours often changes depending on the season, so it’s really too early to tell whether the schedule in April and May will hold true for the rest of the year. Plus, I’ve also seen the schedule flip around a few months before my visits to Walt Disney World Resort, which can be frustrating from a planning perspective.

My recommendation would be to wait until you’re a bit closer to your vacation before firming up your plans. If taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours is a priority for you and your family, try to keep your plans a bit flexible on some mornings/evenings so that you can flip things around if need be.

Here’s another tip - I find that the parks that offer the evening hours can often be more crowded than the other ones. I would recommend sticking with your original plans even if the Extra Magic Hours change and, if you added the Park Hopper option to your Theme Park Tickets, heading over to the Park that is still open when the one you were visiting closes for the night.

I hope my answer helps you plan your December 2018 vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
