Hello! I am hoping to visit Disney for my 21st birthday and I am looking into booking a room (maybe two) at the All-Star Movies resort from May 30 to June 3. Can you tell me if/how I am able to get the military discount applied? Thank you!

    Hiya Lauryn!

Thank you so much for sending your question over and welcome to planDisney! Oh my goodness, what a special thing to celebrate at Disney! I am honoured you decided to come to us to help you plan your memorable celebration and I am thrilled to be helping you today. You will also be celebrating your birthday at an especially magical time with The World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing. You must be so excited!

Now let's talk about discounts! You can absolutely book a room with the military discount, provided that you or the person making the reservation are active or retired US military personnel. This includes the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). If you are a spouse of a Military Service Member, you can also access the discount provided that you have valid documentation. To make your reservation, you can get in contact with a Cast Member directly by phone at 407-939-7830 and you will be able to build a reservation that best fits your needs. It is also important to note that a valid military ID will be needed at check-in and that the military member or spouse must be staying in the room. Then, you will be all set for your magical vacation!

Another offer that is available to Eligible Service Members is the Disney Military Salute Tickets available through December 16, 2022. These tickets are 4-day or 5-day theme park tickets and can be purchased at participating military sales outlets upon providing valid documentation like a valid US military ID. You can even purchase tickets that include the Park Hopper option and Disney Genie+ service and make your vacation extra magical! Since you will be celebrating such a special birthday and will want to keep those memories forever, I would also recommend adding Memory Maker to your reservation. Indeed, Eligible Service Members can also benefit from special offers on Memory Maker, a Disney Photopass product at Walt Disney World Resort. Eligible Service Members or their spouse can purchase the specially-priced Memory Maker product at ticketing windows at the main entrance of any of the four theme parks. Then, you will be able to have beautiful photos taken of your party all around the parks! Photopass Cast Members truly know how to immortalize the magic and I will always cherish my own Photopass pictures.

Lauryn, I hope this was helpful and that you have the most magical birthday celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you want to make it extra special, be sure to check out Disney's Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes which can be delivered to participating restaurants or directly to your resort. You can also get magical decorations and baskets from Disney Floral Gifts and be sure to get your free "Happy Birthday" button either at the front desk of your resort or at any merchandise location!

Have a magical day and I am sending you all the pixie dust for your upcoming Disney vacation,
