I was hoping to get verification on theme park re-entry during COVID. Can you still leave the park during the day (for kids nap time) and return later that afternoon? I know we used to be able to, but wasn't sure if COVID rules had changed that.

Heigh-ho, Mary Mychael! I'm so glad you dropped in today to ask me a question! It's a pleasure to help my fellow Sunshine Staters plan a jaunt to the Walt Disney World Resort. Let's whistle while we work and get you all set for your magical vacation!

Things are certainly a little different these days as Walt Disney World continues its phased reopening process. I've been back to visit a few times since Disney began welcoming Guests again, and I really do appreciate the attention they're paying to the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members alike. But while some things have changed, there are still lots of familiar touches, like the ability to leave the Theme Park to recharge and refresh, and then come back later. So never fear, Mary Mychael! If the little ones start feeling a bit...well, Grumpy, you can absolutely whisk them back to your Resort hotel for a nap and reenter the Park again later.

But I have even more spell-tacular news for you! Not only can you reenter the same Park on the same day, now you can also visit a different Theme Park if you like! You just need the Park Hopper option on your tickets and a Disney Park Pass reservation for your first Park of the day. Once you've been to that first Park, you can head back to the room for nap time and then choose a second Theme Park to visit for the afternoon. You won't need to make another reservation, but do note that Park hopping hours will generally start around 2 p.m. unless noted otherwise, and will be dependent upon capacity. Just another option to consider when making your plans!

I hope this helps your family make the most of your Disney days, Mary Mychael. It made me so Happy to answer your question today. And please don't be Bashful - we'd love for you to come back and see us again real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
