We're hoping to take a vacation to WDW in the Spring and stay at Animal Kingdom, but I'm confused about the 4-5 day passes. We'd like to arrive, stay at a Disney resort hotel one day, then start visiting the parks the following day - is this possible?

    Hi Christine,

Yes, that's possible! How you use your Magic Your Way passes is entirely up to you.  You can spend your first day relaxing by the pool, exploring the resort, and possibly heading to Downtown Disney for some fun.  Just make sure you only purchase enough days on your park pass to account for the time you'll actually spend in the parks.  If your vacation is 5 days, but you only want to spend 4 days visiting a park, then only purchase a 4 day pass.

If you purchase the Water Park Fun and More Option, keep in mind that using your visits to water parks does not count against your park pass tickets.  Some families spend an entire day at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon without going into a park.  Disney really does give you a lot of flexibility in your ticket purchase options.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
