Hoping to vacation in 2013 by April or May of that year. 2 adults and 6 kids. Adding dining seems wise. 7/6 stay seems right. Animal Kingdom villas for our big group? Want a day at each park, and night out, day to relax. Air or drive? Spring for park hop?

It is so amazing to begin planning your next trip to Walt Disney World. The family is going to make such great memories on this vacation. I would begin by ordering the free Disney Vacation Planning DVD. I have found that this DVD helped make planning our family vacation so much easier by showing us all the options available. While I could never say no to a stay at the Animal Kingdom Villas, you can use the DVD to aid in making your resort decision. As for adding the Disney Dining Plan, I am all for it. While I have heard that a few did not enjoy the experience, I always appreciated knowing it was there and available and my kids simply loved it. I would totally spring for the Park Hopper Ticket option. It allows you the freedom to choose where you want to go and when. That freedom is what a good vacation is all about. As for flying or drive, that simply depends on finances and distance. Have a magical trip.
