We are hoping to travel from the UK to take a trip on a Disney cruise from port lauderdale. Flights to this airport would mean a transfer. We are thinking of flying to Miami. Is this easy to get to the cruise port? Do Disney have transfers from here?

    Ahoy Alison!

Thanks ever so much for reaching out to planDisney with your question. I sailed from Port Everglades on a Disney Cruise Line holiday with my family not long ago, and we had a fantastic time! You're in for such a treat.

Currently Disney offers ground transportation between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades on both embarkation and debarkation days. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no Disney transport to or from Miami International Airport. You will need to find a private transport or rent a car if you will be arriving to or departing from Miami.

If you plan to arrive a day early (which I highly recommend), you can book a pre-cruise hotel stay through Disney Cruise Line. At the moment, Disney's feature hotel near Port Everglades is Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel. For more information or to book, call a friendly cast member at 0800 169 0742 or check the frequently asked questions section of the website. Transport from this hotel to the cruise port can be arranged directly through Disney.

If you need anything else as you plan your magical holiday, just let me know. I’m always delighted to help!
