    I am hoping to do the Star Wars 1/2 marathon in April. Please let me know what the host resorts are? Also, by entering the race, are there discounts on tickets, rooms, dining ,etc. Should I register then see if charity is open. P,ease send me any info.

    Hi, Patrice! 

    I'm excited to hear you are interested in participating in the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side at Walt Disney World Resort! I'm sure this inaugural event will be out-of-this-world. 

    All Resort Hotels will be serving as host hotels for this race. So regardless of where you choose to stay, you will have access to event transportation to all race activities, including the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. 

    Though there are not any discounted travel packages available directly through runDisney for this race, you can still take advantage of specially priced theme park tickets and discounted room rates by booking through an official runDisney Travel Provider such as Acclaim Travel or Get Travel Sports (no discounts on dining available for registered runners). To get started, visit the homepage of the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side on the runDisney website and select the REGISTRATION Tab. From there, select the Travel Providers tab for a list of options. Select the highlighted link above for more information. 

    Once you register through the runDisney website, you will not be able to go through a Charity as you will already be a registered runner. However, if you are interested in a race that is currently sold out, the charity option is the best way to secure a spot in that race.
