I am hoping to get my son's first haircut at the Harmony Barbershop, but there are no reservations left. What are the odds of being able to walk in without a reservation? Any tips?

    Hi Courtney!

My granddaughter is planning on her first haircut this Thanksgiving at the Magic Kingdom Harmony Barbershop on Main Street. Well, I am not sure she is planning on it but her mother has made a reservation!

Although she called quite a few months ahead she had a difficult time finding a reservation that would work with the plans that were already made. The good news for you is that they do have walk ups every day. Generally, they will have one person who will handle a walk up during each appointment time. If there are no reservations during a specific time all cast members will accept the walk ups.

This is a popular event for many families so my suggestion is to head there immediately when the park opens and get in line for the first available time. Hopefully,  you can be the first or one of the first and get in right away. If not then ask them what is a good time to return. Sometimes later in the day thins out but it is also not a great time for the younger children to sit still. I have always found the earlier the better for this experience for their first time. I would rather wait it out and get it done in the morning.

The first haircut experience is quite fun and you will have lots to bring home for the memory book such as Mickey ears, a certificate, and of course a few of the little locks of hair that are cut that day.
