Was hoping to take my son May 6 thru 12, 2017. Seems as though all the ALL STAR hotels are booked already. Is this normal? Four years ago we went and scheduled trip in January for April and had no problems getting into a ALL STAR hotel.

    Hi Brad,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to help you plan your next Walt Disney World vacation.

Early May is a popular time for large groups to visit Walt Disney World, and the All-Stars are the most frequent choice for such groups. During the week you want to visit, I see that the Summit All-Star Cheerleading Championship is taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Last year, the championship drew more than 900 cheerleading teams. The All-Star resorts are the host hotels for the participating teams, and it appears that they have booked all the rooms at all three All-Star resorts this year.

I suggest you look at the Pop Century resort as an alternative. Pop Century is my family's favorite value resort. We've stayed there numerous times and like its relatively compact size, its theming, its food court and the fact that it does not share buses with other resorts. I often recommend it to families who a great resort experience at a value price.

I hope that's helpful. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you plan your visit. Enjoy!
