Welcome to planDisney Nick!
Aw, a getaway to Walt Disney World with your 4 year old son sounds like fun! You will create some memories that will last a lifetime. I love looking back at pictures of my kids strolling down Main Street U.S.A when they were little. Everything is so magical at that age!
Get Started by choosing your dates and resort. I suggest one of the Value Resorts.
Pop Century is a great option with its fun atmosphere and access to the
Disney Skyliner. The food court,
Everything POP is perfect for a little one with lots of "kid food" options. During a break at Pop, walk over to
Art of Animation to visit the Cars section of the resort. Your son will love seeing Lightning McQueen, Sally, and the Radiator Springs friends!
I would plan on 4 days of park time, 1 day for each park. Each park will not take a whole day, but you don't want to push too hard with kids. Start in the mornings, hop back to your resort for a mid-day break and a swim, then if you are up to it, back to the park for dinner and fireworks. If you think you would like to visit multiple parks in the same day, add on the
Park Hopper option when purchasing your
Theme Park Tickets. If you go this route, 3 days might be enough park days. Take a day off during your vacation to lounge at the pool or head to
Disney Springs for some shopping and dining fun.
You might want to look into booking a
Dining Reservation at
Chef Mickey's. You will enjoy a nice meal while getting the chance to see Mickey, Minnie, and their pals! Little ones love dining at this restaurant, located in Disney's Contemporary Resort. The monorail zips right through the concourse overhead - always a hit with kids!
Wishing you and your little Mouseketeer an amazing adventure when you visit Walt Disney World this summer! Enjoy!
