We are hoping to save money by not getting the meal plan. We want to bring in some groceries and pack snacks while at the park. Can you order pizza or cut food costs easily. Only staying 4 nights. Any tips to cut food costs would be awesome!

    Hi Kelly,

You can certainly cut food costs by bringing some of your own food.

Breakfast in your room is a great way to save money. Cereal, granola bars, etc. can easily be served for a morning meal before heading out to the parks.

Carrying your own snacks for nourishment in-between meals helps too. You'll save a lot when you don't stop for all those tempting treats! In addition, consider bringing your own water bottles. This will save a ton of money! The beverages including water bottles inside the theme parks are quite pricey and can add up quickly!

If you have a car, go off-site for meals.

If you order a pizza, make sure that you get a list of recommended places from the Front Desk. Do not use your credit card over the phone. Pay upon delivery!

Just remember that time is money though. You're spending a lot to get to WDW and if you are running off-site for too many meals, then you're taking away from your costly vacation.

Share purchased treats. Share entrees! Or order two appetizers to share instead of a costly entree. Lunch is almost always less expensive than dinner at table-service restaurants.

I'm a picky eater so I often order a kids meal for myself at counter-service restaurants. This is also a money-saver!

Happy planning and please let us know if we can help any further!
