Ahoy there, Monica! Welcome to planDisney! Shiver me timbers, it sounds like you're ready for an adventure on the high seas...or at least a delicious meal with a side of pirate shenanigans!
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a Disneyland treasure! Not only do they have fantastic food (I'm still dreaming about that Pistachio Lemon Basil Pasta!), but the atmosphere is truly magical. It's like stepping right into the
Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! 'Tis no illusion, me heartie, ye be sharin' the waters with those scalawags! You'll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bayou—flickering fireflies, chirping crickets, and maybe even a pirate or two sailing by!
With its enchanting ambience and
mouthwatering menu, it's no wonder Blue Bayou is a favorite for many! It's so popular, in fact, that it's no surprise you saw the slash over the March 6th date. Those tables fill up faster than Captain Jack Sparrow can make off with treasure! But don't be disheartened! Since your visit is in March, you've still got time to snag a reservation. You never know when a fellow pirate might change their plans and free up a table.
Dining reservations become available up to 60 days in advance. So, when planning your next trip, be sure to set your sights on Blue Bayou right at the 60-day mark to improve your chances of getting in!
Don't abandon ship just yet! Here be a few more helpful hints in your quest for a Blue Bayou table. Try checking the
dining reservations page on the website or in the
Disneyland mobile app often—especially in the mornings and evenings, when folks tend to make changes to their plans. And, if you're flexible with your dining time, search for reservations during off-peak hours, like an early lunch or late dinner. You might have better luck finding availability then. Even if you can't snag a reservation in advance, you can always try
joining the walk-up list through the Disneyland mobile app on the day of your visit! Walk-up availability may change throughout the day, so be sure to check back often.
If you’re still not able to snag that reservation, there’s another fine dining experience that awaits just across the esplanade at Disney California Adventure Park. At
Carthay Circle Lounge, you’ll be transported to the golden age of Hollywood in the Art Deco surroundings just off of Buena Vista Street. I love the alfresco dining option—especially when I can sit on the patio and enjoy the catchy music of
Five & Dime. There’s also a more upscale option,
Carthay Circle Restaurant, which is located upstairs and especially great for celebrations—or if you just want a top-notch meal!
I hope I’ve helped you chart a course for smooth sailing on your journey to Blue Bayou, Monica! So hoist the colors and set sail for adventure! And if you need any more help navigating the Disneyland waters, just send us a message in a bottle here at planDisney!
