Hoping to rent a Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach in Sept. 8 in our group, however with four older teenagers in group, I know they won't spend much time at the patio. Will we be able to rent a patio or will we not be allowed as we are 8 not 6? Thanks Moms

    Hi Lorna,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I love to spend a day at a water park while at Walt Disney World. Whether I am at Disney's Blizzard Beach or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, a day spent splashing our cares away is a wonderful respite for my family!

While I have not rented a Polar Patio at Disney's Blizzard Beach, I have rented at Beachcomber Shack at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, which is the same type of experience. I have to say, I wholeheartedly recommend it! It is wonderful to have a space that you know is dedicated just for your party. The shade, as well as the towels, reserved places to sit, safe, and cooler stocked with ice-cold water make this well worth the cost. Even though you do not think your teenagers will be there very often, I think it will be great to have the Polar Patio as a home base. The others in your party can lounge there as much as you want to, and the teenagers will have a place to leave their belongings and come back to when they want to take a rest, cool off, and have some refreshments.

When we rented our Beachcomber Shack, we had seven people. Disney was able to accommodate our extra guest for a small fee, and extra guests up to ten can also be accommodated at a Polar Patio for a fee. For more information, there is a great Disney Blog Post on the Polar Patios.

Please do write back if you have any further questions, Lorna!
