Hi Moms! We are hoping to plan a summer 2021 trip to Disney world with our 5 children (so 7 of us)! I am having a hard time finding a way to check pricing for resorts that would fit all of us for that time frame. Any suggestions on how to get that info?

Hi Misty! I am so happy to hear you are planning another visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

As the vacation planning mom for a family of six, I know well the challenges that come with planning for larger families.  Most standard rooms at Disney Resort Hotels sleep 4 or 5 Guests, so let's take a look at options for a family of seven.

When looking at accommodations online, it is important to know that a child under the age of 3 that will sleep in a crib is permitted in addition to the stated occupancy number.  There a few resort room types that can accommodate 6 guests plus a child under age 3, including Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation and All-Star Music Resorts, as well as Wilderness Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  If all 7 Guests are age 3 and above, options for your family would be a Deluxe Villa or two rooms at any Disney Resort Hotel. (Connecting rooms are available upon request.  Requests cannot be guaranteed, but in my experience Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your needs.)

Typically, room rates and vacation packages for the following calendar year are released sometime in June.  Rooms for 2021 are not yet available to book online.  I recommend browsing the various options using dates in 2020 to get a ballpark idea of the type of accommodations and price range you are interested in.  Room-only reservations can be made up to 499 days in advance over the phone by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line at 407-939-1936.  A Cast Member will be able to quote you a price over the phone.

I recommend checking back in a few weeks to see if 2021 dates have been added to the online booking system.  If you decide that two rooms would work best for your family of seven, you'll also want to call to make your reservation.  Currently the online booking system will only permit one room per transaction.  Also keep your eye on the Special Offers page for any discounts that may apply to your travel dates.

Please stop by the Moms Panel again anytime with any additional questions you may have.  We are always happy to help.
