Hello, we're hoping to be in Orlando for a week this Friday but it's subject to negative covid tests to leave Canada. If we buy tickets for Feb 25 but can't make the trip due to a positive test, can we use the tickets at a later date?

Hello, and welcome to planDisney, Craig!

As a fellow Canadian citizen, I fully appreciate and understand your predicament with all these regulations for entry to the United States and re-entry to Canada. Above all, I appreciate your patience during these most unprecedented times, Craig.

As regulations and advisories continually change, as they recently did, I would strongly recommend you refer to the Travel Advisories and Regulations at travel.gc.ca for entry to the United States, and for your return to Canada. As well, I would also download the ArriveCAN app soon in preparation for your return to Canada.

Generally, Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets have certain restrictions for transfer or modification and since I do not have access to the information regarding your particular theme park tickets, Craig, I recommend you reach out to Walt Disney World Resort Reservations and Tickets “Existing Tickets” and if you look on that opened page you will also see an option to email the department with your query and they will do their utmost to help you out - rest assured.

In the meantime, I advise you to refer to the current Health and Safety Measures and Operational Guidelines in preparation for your Walt Disney World Resort arrival. As well, for any COVID-19 Testing for your return home, I recommend the nearby services of AdventHealth, they present the First Aid Centers at Walt Disney World Resort so they have gained my trust. I actually took my COVID-19 PCR Test at their facility at Orlando International Airport. Booking online was simple, and after I checked in and paid for my test on the spot, waiting was minimal for testing. Afterwards, I had to wait onsite for approximately 30-minutes for the paper copy of the test result confirmation.

I wish you a most magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort, especially now during the 50th Anniversary Celebration - don’t forget to make those Disney Park Pass reservations in advance of your arrival, and consider reducing your wait in lines by adding the Disney Genie+ Lighting Lane Entrance option to your theme park tickets via the My Disney Experience App.
