We are hoping to take an Oct. 2020 trip. The group would include 3 families, 2 of which the men are active duty military. Is the non-military family able to utilize the military discount for rooms if all three families are staying at the same resort?

    Hi Erin!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mine is a Military Family too, and I am so thankful for the way that Disney shows gratitude for those who serve our country by way of such generous vacation offers.

I am so very happy to report that yes, each service member in your party can reserve up to three Disney Resort Hotel Rooms while utilizing a military room rate as long as: 1) all rooms being "sponsored" are booked at the same Disney Resort Hotel as the ID holder and 2) the sponsored rooms have the same check-in date as the host room. Since your group has two service members, one family could book at one resort hotel and the second at another with the third family choosing between the two. But I'm sure you'll all want to be together.

To take advantage of this offer you will need to call to book these military room-only reservations at (407) 939-1936. Each family/room will be booked as its own reservation. And if you can't set up a group phone call to all book at once, the first caller can book all three rooms and make the initial deposits for everyone, or can get the Booking Agent Cast Member's direct extension so the other two can call back later, there are lots of ways to make this work. You can also either have each family's My Disney Experience account all set up and linked to the other families now, or you can do that after you have your resort hotel confirmation numbers.

In addition to each service member being able to purchase six military promotional theme park tickets (12 between your total group!), those with valid U.S. Military IDs are also allowed to purchase up to six special event tickets day-of if the event has sold out. This gives your group a lot of time to think about attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, literally right up until it starts!

Other Military tidbits while I have for you: Definitely buy your military promotional tickets at least three to four months before you arrive so you can take advantage of 60-day FastPass+ reservations. Each individual family in your party can choose if they'd like to add a Disney Dining Plan to their military room rate reservation. And there's even a special military price for the "Starts Immediately" Memory Maker package of only $98 that your entire group can share! The full details are at the bottom of the promotional ticket page, or you can both ask more questions as well as buy this offer at any Guest Relations location.

I hope this helped a bit (or a lot!), Emily, and please feel free to ask me any more Disney Military questions you might have. Thanks again for stopping by and We'll See You Real Soon!
