    We're hoping to be at MK for opening ceremonies this november - the schedule says it's a 9am open time for our day's visit...any suggestions on how early to arrive to ensure we are there for the show? thanks!!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca! 

    The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show, also known as "Rope Drop," begins each day at 8:40am and lasts approximately 10 minutes. To ensure you get a great spot for this perfect way to start your day, I would plan on arriving at Magic Kingdom by 8:00am. Cast Members usually have hula hoops and other fun activities available for children to help bide time while you wait. I also recommend not getting too close as the show will take place at the train station which is elevated above the Magic Kingdom entrance.
