Hi there, Janessa. Welcome to planDisney!
My Panelist friends and I are ALL planners amongst our family and friends. We love to daydream about our vacations and bring it to fruition. It sounds like we share a similar mentality, Janessa! Plus, everyday life is stressful and it’s so nice to have something fun and magical in the near future to look forward to.
By now, I’m sure you’ve noticed that Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are very different yet still embodies the magic that transcends generations. Walt Disney World Resort has four theme parks, two water parks, and numerous lodging options to choose from. On the other hand, Disneyland Resort is small, but mighty with two theme parks and three onsite hotels. Parkhopping is quick and easy, and it just involves skipping across The Esplanade between
Disneyland Park and
California Adventure Park.
Planning a visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth is not as involved or overwhelming, in my opinion. Historically, hotel reservations open for the following year by late-summer so I anticipate bookings for early 2026 to open soon. Also, Disneyland Resort allows
theme park reservations to be made up to 180 days in advance for regular ticket holders. You can actually start securing your theme park reservations through the end of January 2026 at this time even though you’re unable to book your
Disneyland Resort hotel stay yet.
I recommend keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates. As you continue to plan your upcoming visit in February, please don’t hesitate to visit us on
planDisney again if you have more questions.
Sending you pixie dust,
Kiki
