Hoping for a end of October 4night Bahamas on the dream. What is the crowds and weather going to be like. And if days are generally the same as previous years will be embarking on my sons 10th birthday is they anything I can pre plan. Thank you

    Welcome aboard, Nicola!

Sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew on the Disney Dream is a wonderful way to celebrate your son's 2-digit birthday... he will never forget his 10th birthday!

My family and I sailed in October this year and though it was not perfect weather, we still had a blast. October is a very spirited month and it sets off the holiday celebrations. It was so cool to experience the Halloween on the High Seas voyage and everyone enjoyed the additional Halloween festivities that were planned throughout the trip. We had some rain as we sailed away, but it was nice weather the rest of the time. Since the weather can trip up at any time, just be sure to check the forecast a few days prior.

Don't forget to pick up a Birthday pin at the Guest Services desk when you first get on the ship. Your son will enjoy all the warm birthday wishes from everyone. You might want to check out the Birthday Celebration package for your stateroom too... it's a neat way of bringing a sparkle to your son's eyes when he sees his stateroom all decked out for his special day. If you'd like to start crafting something special for your stateroom door -- you can also prepare something to hang with magnets onto the door. You'll want to include a note that you are celebrating a Birthday on your cruise reservation. This message will reach your dining team, and they'll know to prepare a special birthday cake (and song) for your son at dinner. If you are not sure if it is already noted on your cruise reservation, you can always make a quick call to the Disney Cruise Line travel desk to make sure it is correctly noted. You can call them directly at 1-800-951-3532.

Hope this info helps, Nicola. Happy planning!
